Thuli Mthethwa: CEO
A Software Developer turned Social Entrepreneur, Thuli graduated from Rhodes University with a Bsc. Computer Science/Information Systems degree. In 2012 she graduated from UNISA with Honours Information Systems. She has been a victim of crime countless times; in March 2012 a family member was brutally attacked and robbed of everything in her house. Since then Thuli has vowed to give all her time to fighting crime and violence against Woman and Children in South Africa. In October 2012, she founded Memeza Shout Crime Prevention

Elmarie Pereira : COO
Corporate Telecommunications Executive. Elmarie’s over 14 years of experience managing operations and related sales channels, with expertise in developing client services and streamlining delivery of products/services. Elmarie also lost her sister to
Gender Based Violence, this is part of the reason she teamed up with Memeza through the Vodacom Change the World programme.

Nkukeng Legodi: Government and Community Engagement

Ntate Legodi has over 30 years experience in working with SAPS and Community Policing forums. Being the oldest member of the team at 75, Ntate is our key community speaker, specifically in township and rural environments. Ntate Legodi has trusted relationships with key Government role players, such as the MEC Community Safety.

Thando Selanto: PR Manager

Thandokuhle Shirley Selanto joined Memeza under the Innovation Hub Internship programme 2016/17.She studied Communications at Fort Hare University. Thando is a very skilled communicator and strives to be the best in the communications Industry.Thando is now the leading PR Manger and has shows her leadership qualities through her Community liasion dedications at Memeza. Her future aspiration is to be a successful Public Relations Practitioner.

Herman de Jager: Service Delivery, Training and Installations Management
Herman de Jager has over 14 years experience in the Sales and Services industry and joined Memeza with the aim of providing technical and installation management services for the Diepsloot project, which proved a 9% drop in Murder rate and 26% drop in Sexual violence in Diepsloot. After the success of the Diepsloot project, Herman joined Memeza on a permanent basis and is our technical and systems expert, also managing the training, quality and service levels of field installers.

Noma Mosana: HR and Office Administration
Noma takes care of all HR, Finance and Office Administration requirements, including being the top liaison between Memeza and our outsourced financial and legal partners, about 10 years experience running a business.

Musa Masina: Installer

Musa Masina, one of Memeza’s proudest job creation stories! Musa came onboard as a community installer through a SA Breweries sponsored project and on his own managed to install 50 Memeza Community Alarms in 1 week. Memeza was so impressed by this young man’s eagerness and willingness to serve his community, we have since offered Musa a permanent position.

Leonard Mabula : IT Intern

Leonard is born and raised in Free State Bethlehem, came to Pretoria to further his studies at Rosebank College . Graduated with a Diploma in Information Technology Management. Leonard posses characteristics of a network specialist, Ability to think out of the box, self-motivated and thinks one day he will be one of the best network specialist.

Hilda Ramoshaba: Project Administrator
Hilda went to the University of Limpopo where she studied Bachelor of Arts in Commutations. She one day wants to be a successful business women in the communications industry. She is a strong believer in giving back to the community and being part of MeMeZa gives her that opportunity to do so.

Sibusiso Khumalo: Installer
Sibusiso Khumalo is from Soweto, and is one of Memeza’s top achieving community installers. Sibo joined the team late in 2016 and has already proved to be a great asset.

Rodney is from Attiredgeville and joined the Memeza installation team in February.He has grown to be one of the best installers and we are glad to have him as part of our team.

Sydney Sibanda: Installer

Joined the Memeza team in 2017 and he has been a hard worker ever since he started. “I am proud to work at Memeza and to serve my community” says Sydney. Sidney is a recovering alcoholic who has found purpose in life through the project. Sidney was struggling to find employment but through this project he was provided an opportunity to change his life and finally provide a good home for his family.

Jacqui Kabeta
Head of Division: Projects and Research

Jacqui holds an Honours in Geography and Environmental Science and is currently pursuing postgraduate studies with the University of South Africa. Jacqui is has over eight years experience in research and project management.  She has facilitated in a number of strategy, fore sighting and innovation systems development for government departments and private companies.

Sindisiwe Mpanza attained a learnership from Vodacom in partnership with IDT and CISCO." I am grateful to be part of the Memeza team because I would to see myself  aspire as an IT specialist through Memeza".

Ulenda joined Memeza under the Innovation Hub Graduate Programme 2017/18. She studied Information Technology (Software Development) at the Tshwane University of Technology(TUT). She deals alot with the backend system & presenting detailed reports about gathering meaningful data to management. She aims at owning her own IT company within years to come.
