A software developer turned Entrepreneur and Innovator. Thuli’s over 17 years technical and development background brought forward the ability to develop the MeMeZa Community Safety Alarm, with a rich back end that allows for valuable data and intelligence to be captured in real time.


Elmarie Pereira : COO

Corporate Telecommunications Executive. Elmarie’s over 14 years of experience managing operations and related sales channels, with expertise in developing client services and streamlining delivery of products/services . Elmarie also lost her sister to Gender Based Violence, this is part of the reason she teamed up with Memeza through the Vodacom Change the World programme. ABE

Abe Ntlatleng: Business Development Director

Abe Ntlatleng skills set include quality assurance, customer service, sales, marketing, business development, new venture creation, small business management, feasibility studies, master plans & business negotiations. He has many years of practical experience as an entrepreneur. He has business management qualifications from the Universities of Pretoria, Open University ~ Milton Keynes (UK) & Development Studies from the University of Witwatersrand.


Nkukeng Legodi: Government and Community Engagement

Ntate Legodi has over 30 years experience in working with SAPS and Community Policing forums. Being the oldest member of the team at 75, Ntate is our key community speaker, specifically in township and rural environments. Ntate Legodi has trusted relationships with key Government role players, such as the MEC Community Safety.


Herman de Jager: Service Delivery, Training and Installations Management

Herman de Jager has over 14 years experience in the Sales and Services industry and joined Memeza with the aim of providing technical and installation management services for the Diepsloot project, which proved a 9% drop in Murder rate and 26% drop in Sexual violence in Diepsloot. After the success of the Diepsloot project, Herman joined Memeza on a permanent basis and is our technical and systems expert, also managing the training, quality and service levels of field installers.


Noma Mosana: HR and Office Administration

Noma takes care of all HR and Office Administration requirements, including being the top liaison between Memeza and our outsourced financial and legal partners, about 10 years experience running a business.

Retha Smit: Project manager

Retha (2)

Retha skill set include financial management over projects, business units and general financial management and management of P&L, General Ledger and Trail Balance.  Firmly experienced in Project Management in Electrical Engineering, Software development, software implementation, Infrastructure deployments and some networking project management (methodology skill include; PMBOK, Prince2, Agile (limited) and SDLC).  Have developed business processes and implemented same to ensure business effectiveness.  Managing sales pipeline and financial forecasting up to 6 months, contracts management, call center management, customer relation development and data analytics.  20+ years of Corporate experience and currently completing certification for Prince2 at the PM Academy and Project Management for a Strategic Advantage at the University of Stellenbosch.  Planning to complete PMP in 2017 as well.  Registered member of the PMI and PMSA.


Boitumelo Motsei: Sales Officer (Intern)

Boitumelo Motsei is currently under the Innovation Hub Internship programme 2016/17.She went to Tshwane University of Technology where she acquired her Diploma in Entrepreneurship. She sees herself in a managerial position and one day dreams of owning her own company.


Abram Kekana: Technical and Software Specialist (Intern)

Abram Kekana is currently under the Innovation Hub Internship programme 2016/17.  He went to Vaal University of Technology, and studied Information Technology. Abram is an IT professional with strong technical background who possesses self discipline and has an intense interest and keen enthusiasm for software and technology.


Lodrick Mpanze: Technical Expert (Intern)

Lodrick Mpanze is currently under the Innovation Hub Internship programme 2016/17. He went to Tshwane University of Technology and studied IT –Technical programming. Lodrick strives for excellence in almost everything he does. In years to come Lodrick wants to own his own applications company.


Thando Selanto: Community Liaison (Intern)

Thandokuhle Shirley Selanto is currently under the Innovation Hub Internship programme 2016/17.She studied Communications at Fort Hare University. Thando is a very skilled communicator and strives to be the best in the communications Industry. Her future aspiration is to be a successful Public Relations Practitioner.


Mabusa Hilda Ramoshaba: CSI Specialist (Volunteer)

Hilda went to the University of Limpopo where she studied Bachelor of Arts in Commutations. She one day wants to be a successful business women in the communications industry. She is a strong believer in giving back to the community and being part of MeMeZa gives her that opportunity to do so.


Lerato Mohlala: Public Relations and Communications/ Marketing (Intern)

Lerato Mohlala is currently under the Innovation Hub Internship programme 2016/17.  She went to the University of Johannesburg, where she studies Public Relations and Communications. She is inspired by and happiness and has a passion for the Communications industry. Lerato sees herself helping companies reach their full potential in the future. She also wants to open her own business consultancy company where she will be able to do that.


Molefi Tshite: Office Administration (Intern)

Molefi Tshite is currently under the FPD learnership doing Business Administration at Memeza Shout.  He is hard working and determined to work smart in order to reach his dreams. Molefi has a passion for youth development and one day wants to help create jobs for the youth especially in disadvantage communities.


Moabi Ngwepe: Office Administration (Intern)

Moabi Ngwepe studied Marketing at South West Gauteng College, she is currently under the FPD (Foundation for Professional Development) learnership programme under Business Administration for people with minor disabilities. Moabi is hard working and keen to learn more about the business environment and looking forward to owning her own business.

Sibusiso Khumalo is from Soweto, and is one of Memeza’s top achieving community installers. Sibo joined the team late in 2016 and has already proved to be a great asset.

Rodney Matlala is from Attiredgeville and joined the Memeza installation team in February 2017. We look forward to Rodney becoming part of the team.

Sydney Sibanda Joined the Memeza team in 2017 and he has been a hard worker ever since he started. “I am proud to work at Memeza and to serve my community” says Sydney. Sidney is a recovering alcoholic who has found purpose in life through the project. Sidney was struggling to find employment but through this project he was provided an opportunity to change his life and finally provide a good home for his family.

Sandile Ndebele joined the Memeza Installation team in February 2017, he is from Soweto and has a passion for fighting against crime for his community.

Musa Masina, one of Memeza’s proudest job creation stories! Musa came onboard as a community installer through a SA Breweries sponsored project and on his own managed to install 50 Memeza Community Alarms in 1 week. Memeza was so impressed by this young man’s eagerness and willingness to serve his community, we have since offered Musa a permanent position.
